People are just realising that two world-famous children’s songs feature the same tune – so do you know what they are?
HAVE you ever listened to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and thought the song sounded familiar?
Well, that’s because it’s actually the same tune as another world-famous children’s ditty – the Alphabet song.
People have only just started realising that the tunes are the same, and took to Twitter to express their shock at the discovery.
“I wonder how it came to be: We sing the Alphabet Song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to exactly the same tune,” one wrote.
“So when did you find out twinkle twinkle little star and the alphabet song had the same tune?” another added.
As a third commented: “Twinkletwinkle little star and the alphabettune are the same.
“Why didn’t I know until now?”
“Why does the Alphabet song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?” someone else wrote.
“Did you pick up that the alphabet is sung to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star tune? Still shook,” another admitted.
While someone else added: “Never ceases to blow my mind that the tune to singing the alphabet is ‘twinkle twinkle little star’ and I didn’t notice for most of my life.”
“It took 26 years for me to realise that the Alphabet song is sung to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” another admitted.
As someone else wrote: “The fact that the alphabet song and twinkle twinkle little star are the same tune.
“Yeah, I just ruined your day too!”
The record for not realising had to go to this person though, who tweeted: “Oh my god.. I’ve just realised the alphabet song has the same tune as twinkle twinkle little star.. ..I’m 38.”
