Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid a visit to Ayodhya on Sunday and expressed his happiness at the progress of the construction of the Ram temple. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started the work and the dream of millions of Ram bhakts was being fulfilled. Previously, opposition parties would take a dig at the BJP by saying "mandir wahin banayenge, par tarikh nahi batayenge", but now the construction is in full swing. Thousands of Shiv Sainiks accompanied Shinde on his trip, and he will attend a "maha aarti" in the evening.
