Report: Daniel Levy jets out to Middle East to hold Spurs commercial talks
Football Insider have revealed that Daniel Levy held talks with several Bahrainian companies recently about potential sponsorship opportunities.
The report states that Levy attended the Grant Prix in Bahrain last month to mark Spurs’ new 15-year partnership with Formula One, and he is said to have used the trip to explore commercial opportunities.
Spurs are allegedly keen to capitalise on sponsorship opportunities in the Middle East, with one source telling the publication that the Tottenham chairman met with representatives of blue-chip companies during his recent trip to Bahrain.
Football Insider add that the talks were ‘fruitful’, raising a real possibility of commercial partnerships in the near future.
The publication explains that Bahrain is keen to follow fellow Middle Eastern states, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in using its sovereign wealth funds to expand its geopolitical influence through football.
This development comes just a couple of months after it emerged that Levy had met with Qatar Spots Investment chairman Nasser Al-Khelaiffi to explore potential investment in Spurs (The Athletic).

I do wonder if Levy would have discussed the stadium naming rights with the representatives that he met.
The announcement of a long-term naming rights deal would significantly boost the club’s coffers and perhaps allow us to take more gambles in the upcoming transfer windows.
