The American Cup took place in Saint Louis March 16th - 26th, 2023. The event consists of two 8-Player Double elimination events, men's and women's. Players: Nakamura, Caruana, So, Aronian, Dominguez, Shankland, Robson and Sevian. Women's: Krush, Alice Lee, Zatonskih, Tokhirjonova, Nemcova, Paikidze, Pourkashiyan and Abrahamyan. Hikaru Nakamura beat Wesley So 2.5-1.5 in a third final between them in the event. Nakamura won the first final, So after winning the elimination final against Aronian faced Nakamura again and won, the decider was won by Nakamura. Irina Krush won the women's event.
