In a separate statement, an Oakland police spokesperson said officers worked with Alameda County Sheriff’s deputies to carry out a traffic stop on a vehicle sought in connection with a shooting. That vehicle was stopped exiting I-580 onto Golf Links Road in East Oakland and two people inside were taken into custody, the spokesperson said.
