The sultry weather conditions, parched waterbodies and no sign of any rain in April, are making life difficult for people of the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada. For the people of Mangaluru city, the drying up of the recently rejuvenated Kavoor Kere has come as a shocker. Mangaluru Smart City Limited (MSCL) had taken up the rejuvenation of the lake at a cost of Rs 8 crore.
