On Tuesday night, tension prevailed in Kotur under Dhartwad taluk following the murder of a BJP functionary ahead of the state assembly elections. Sitting MLA Amrut Desai is the BJP candidate and former minister Vinay Kulkarni is Congress candidate from Dharwad constituency.
