Roundup: Japan's Nikkei snaps 8-day winning streak, investors take profits
TOKYO, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Japan's benchmark Nikkei stock index closed lower Wednesday, ending an eight-day winning streak, as investors opted for profits.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 52.07 points, or 0.18 percent, from Tuesday to close the day at 28,606.76.
The broader Topix index, meanwhile, shed 0.51 point, or 0.02 percent, to finish at 2,040.38.
