Men say I’m not pretty enough and fat-shame me at work – they’re just broke and jealous
A WOMAN has hit back at haters who judge her looks at work – insisting they’re “broke and jealous”.
Rain, who’s in her 20s, started pole dancing as a way to perform and keep fit as a student.
After graduating she thought working in a strip club would be the perfect career for her, and an empowering way to make cash.
But she is sometimes faced with hateful comments from customers.
She told the Daily Star: “I’m usually fine with ‘creepy’ comments, my only problem is when the guy hasn’t paid me.
“Then there’s some really mean and judgemental guys who are so insecure they need to take a pretty girl down to feel okay.
“Creepy is manageable, it’s mean comments that are the problem.
“I’ve been called fat, not pretty enough, and told that my glasses are ‘terrible’.
“They’re usually just broke or jealous though.”
We told earlier how Rain considered quitting as a stripper for good after she lost £70 in a night.
The Glasgow-based dancer revealed it is standard across the industry for girls to pay to work.
Recently she forked out a £90 house fee but during a very long shift she only took in £20.
She admitted that she sobbed on the way home and thought about packing the job in forever.
The dancer, known as Rainworldwithurgirl, said: “I never lost money to the club like that before.
“It was a huge ego shaker and I cried like a baby on the way home.
“Like any job you can have good days and bad. You have very high highs and low lows.”
But for the time being she’s making the most of her job and has no plans to quit any time soon.
She said: “I love it. It can be so much fun.”
