Emmerdale fans can’t believe Paddy Kirk actor Dominic Brunt’s ‘real age’ as he celebrates birthday
Emmerdale veteran Dominic Brunt has left fans in a bit of a spin when his real age was revealed as he celebrated his birthday.
A fan of the actor, 53, who played Paddy Kirk on the ITV soap for more than 20 years, took to social media to announce his age – and many were stunned.
The star, who first appeared in the Yorkshire village in 1997, has been involved in a number of heartbreaking plots.
And most recently, after finding out that his wife Chas had been having an affair, he spiralled into a depression and tried to take his own life.
But away from the cameras, Dominic’s life couldn’t be more different. In a Facebook group formed for Emmerdale fans, one user posted pictures of Dominic as Paddy.
They captioned the post saying: “Happy birthday Dominic! Some great performances over the years, happy 53rd birthday sir.”
Fans rushed to voice their shock at his age. One fan said: “He looks great! Happy birthday DB.”
Another fan added: “Looking good for 53, still got that same baby face as when you arrived.”
And a third said: “Happy birthday you look fantastic.”
In dealing with his heavy duty plot, Dominic said: ““I couldn’t let myself even open a little door to the black dogs that these people experience.”
He added: “I was pretending, the scripts and the dialogue was so good and the journey and the curve was so clear that it was almost easy to do.”
