Former President Donald Trump posted on Instagram for the first time since his two-year ban was lifted, to unveil the second series of his digital trading cards.

Trump took to the Meta-owned platform on Tuesday to share images and news around a new installment of his popular cards collection.

‘I am pleased to inform you that, due to the great success of my previously launched DIGITAL TRADING CARDS, we are doing it again, SERIES 2, AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW,’ wrote Trump, alongside an image of himself holding the Liberty Bell.

He shared a link for fans to buy them. In a second image of himself as a superhero wearing a champion belt, Trump noted that the new trading cards were priced the same as the first series, ‘even though they are selling for MANY TIMES MORE (It’s called the MARKET!).

Trump’s first trading cards, dropped in December, quickly sold out and doubled in value. He sold the NFTs – non-fungible tokens which allow individuals to claim ownership of a digital image – for $99 each. They netted the ex-president $4.4million.

‘Because I want my fans & supporters to make money, & have fun doing it. I could have raised the price MUCH HIGHER, & I believe it still would have sold well, with a lot more money coming to me, but I didn’t choose to do so,’ wrote Trump, after bashing the ‘Fake News’.

‘I WILL BE GIVEN NO “NICE GUY” CREDIT?’

Trump’s third post was a promotional video of the cards.

Soon after that, he shared a fourth image of himself as a rock star and announced that the second series of cards had ‘SOLD OUT, in RECORD TIME, approximately $4.6 Million’.

‘A great honor, and I hope everyone is Happy, Healthy, and Wealthy. CONGRATULATIONS!’ Trump concluded.

Trump also shared the same four images on Facebook, which he had already started posting on since being reinstated by Meta in February. Trump was suspended from Instagram and Facebook, as well as Twitter and YouTube, after his actions around the January 6 Capitol riot.

By posting again on Instagram and Facebook, where he has more than 34million and 23.4million followers respectively, Trump has made it clear that he will use all tools at his disposal in his 2024 presidential bid.
