Bridal shop launches new plus-size wedding dress department and people are going wild for black frock
A BRIDAL shop has launched a new plus-size wedding dress department – and people are going wild for the stunning gowns.
Bijoux Bridal, in Hamilton, which is known for having an incredible, inclusive range, brought out their new selection to stock dresses in more sizes.
The store has ample sizes in the shop that range from a UK size 12 to 32, meaning it has something for everyone.
And after discovering that most bridal stores, including Curve-specific store dress sizing for a ‘Plus-Sized’ bride, started at a UK 16 and finished at a 28, they wanted to do even more.
So they opened a new department on the second floor of their store that will stock dresses 24 and above.
And it carries some of the best designer labels in bridal, with the collection carrying plenty of options for every bride.
The new department opened this month and brides have gushed over the new dresses and styles.
Bijoux Bridal said: “We’d hate for a bride to come to us and feel intimidated and unable to try on dresses if our sample sizes were too small.
“We don’t want to limit or cap any bride on what they can wear at their wedding, we want everyone to feel empowered and beautiful.
“In this department, we will also be launching a Merch shop that will stock bridal getting ready robes, garters and other bridal-related clothing in sizes 24+, as when we did our research brides let us know this is something they struggled to buy in their size, this to us is just so sad.
“Every bride should feel confident on their wedding day and should never feel they have to compromise.”
The bridal shop has a small preview event which saw a few brides have the chance to come in and view the dresses the team had been working on.
The range of styles and colours left the brides and influencers speechless and in awe of how the gowns made them feel
And after photos were shared on social media, fans were quick to praise the team for their ingenuity.
One person said: “So gorgeous! I got my wedding dress at Bijoux after seeing you lovely ladies model for them. Couldn’t recommend the team and the dresses enough!!”
Another added: “Wowee all so beautiful but the black dress! Amazing!”
Someone else wrote: “Yous are a dream come true”.
And a fourth person posted: “This is fab, love the inclusive sizing!”
While a fifth chimed in: “Omg the black dress is amazing. You all look gorgeous by the way”.
