I’m A Celeb legend Myleene Klass tells fans not to expect a repeat of shower scene as ‘I don’t look like that now’
I’M A Celebrity bikini legend Myleene Klass has warned viewers not to expect the same shower scenes as she arrives in the South African camp tomorrow night.
The classical musician turned presenter made a splash with her white swimsuit in 2006, when she came runner-up to Matt Willis.
Ahead of her stint in the new all stars camp, Myleene, 44, said: “After doing the programme I saw the photo and I was like ‘my goodness, it does look glamorous, but it certainly didn’t feel like it – far from it!
“There are worse things to be known for than being really clean!
“Since then, I have had three babies and I don’t look like that now.”
Myleene has remained tight-lipped about whether she’ll be donning another white skimpy in the new Kruger National Park site.
But she added: “I am really proud of how strong my body has been. It has been through lots of trials and tribulations since and part of the reason for doing this all star version is I want to remind myself of that.
“I do feel like a different person, I was in my 20s when I first came into the jungle and now I’m in my 40s.
“I think I will smell the campfire and it will be like yesterday!
“I’ve got so many great memories to pick from but I liked some of the things you don’t see on camera – like at night when the jungle came alive. All you could see was a wall of green dots, green eyes, reflected by the moonlight.”
While that sounds tranquil, the former popstar – who rose to fame in Hear’say alongside Kym Marsh – also remembers the camp rows.
Myleene said: “I like the fact that with I’m A Celebrity, you go back to basics. You are stripped bare and it is funny watching people argue about how to boil an ostrich egg or get frustrated on the Trials.”
Myleene is joined by other late arrivals Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo and Corrie actor Andy Whyment.
Toff, 28, said: “Having the opportunity to do the jungle once is a great honour and so to be asked the second time is just next level kind of stuff.”
Andy, 42, added: “ I was in it three years ago and so it is still quite a fresh memory for me.”
It comes after telly nutritionist Gillian McKeith became the first surprise arrival of the series when she landed in camp in a giant wooden box on the first night.
It left rival campmate Shaun Ryder fuming after the two came to blows during their first turn on I’m A Celeb in 2010.
