Lewis Capaldi gives very rare glimpse into his relationship with new girlfriend Ellie and reveals last voicenote to her
LEWIS Capaldi has lifted the lid on his new relationship with girlfriend Ellie MacDowall and shared a cheeky voicenote he sent to her.
The Scots-born singer, 26, opened up about finding love with actress and dancer Ellie less than six months ago during a radio interview.
Appearing on Heart FM, he excitedly confirmed to hosts Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston: “I’ve got a girlfriend!”
Lewis had only appeared on the pair’s breakfast show in December when he had received dating tips from them.
After they reminded him of this, he replied: “Yeah, I’ve got a girlfriend. We have since got together and made love.”
He then cheekily added: “It takes a couple of things to be happy in this world. You need love, you need health.
“You need self love – love within one’s self. And also a large appendage – and one of those things I do not possess!”
Lewis was then invited to play a game of App Roulette, which comprised of Jamie and Amanda asking questions about the apps on his phone.
Among the questions, Lewis was asked if he could play the last voicenote he had sent.
“I can, I sent it to my girlfriend,” he replied.
Lewis then played the muffled voicenote to Heart FM listeners, as Jamie and Amanda looked on.
He then told them: “I sent her that of my fart. I sent her a fart.
“It’s a weird sounding fart as well, because it sounds like someone’s opening a bottle of champagne three rooms down.”
Amanda laughed hysterically, telling her bemused co-host: “This is good, as you need to be relaxed in front of your partner!”
Lewis then read out the message Ellie sent back in response.
“She just said, ‘Lewis, I didn’t understand what it was at first. Do you send s*** like that to your exes?'”
As Amanda once again roared with laughter, Lewis quipped: “You’ve got to love me for me. You’ve got to love me warts and all.”

Earlier this month, while speaking to Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills about his latest song Wish You The Best, Lewis said: “I have a girlfriend and that’s going really well, I am happy chappy, she’s a lovely lady I feel good about everything.”
