Forgettable Thursday morning

The pictures tell the story: it was gutless, tiny and choppy along the beaches. About the best I saw was the little peak at South Steyne (see above for a set wave). Out at sea the ESE swell was 1.25 metres at 11 seconds as of 0900 and wind was north at 6-9 kts. Tide was just coming off the 0810 low and will be back to a modest 1.7 m high at 1410. Weather should mostly sunny with a high of 25.
Tomorrow looks like being sunny again, small again, and northerly wind affected again. I expect the Mighty Goat will roll out a surf forecast for us later today, so be sure to check back to see what he thinks of our prospects.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is extending a ridge towards eastern parts of the state, directing an east to northeasterly airstream along the coast. Winds along the southern and central parts of the coast will turn north to northeasterly over the next few days ahead of an approaching cold front that looks set to cross the southern half of the coast on Saturday.
