Predicted Tottenham XI to face Man Utd – Ryan Mason changes formation
Tottenham Hotspur face Manchester United in North London this evening as they look to bounce back from that embarrassing 6-1 defeat to Newcastle at the weekend.
We have a new head coach in the dugout this time around in the form of Ryan Mason, making it near-impossible to predict what he will do in his first game.
However, we believe that he will want to make a change to the system without compromising the defensive shape like Cristian Stellini did – so perhaps Mason will opt for a 3-5-2.
Fraser Forster starts between the sticks as Hugo Lloris doesn’t recover quite in time, while Clement Lenglet returns to the XI in time for the match. Eric Dier and Cristian Romero line up next to him.
At wing-back, both Pedro Porro and Ivan Perisic remain as Spurs simply do not have any other options, apart from putting wingers there.
In midfield, Ryan Mason may opt for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Pape Matar Sarr and Oliver Skipp as a trio, with Harry Kane and Heung-min Son leading the line as a two.
