The Met Gala is one of the hottest tickets of the year, but it comes with a hefty price tag.
On Monday (May 1), some of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars will be attending the biggest night of the year for fashion. According to a new report, they are paying a premium to secure their tickets after the price was increased for 2023.

Page Six reported that the price to secure a single ticket to the event was increased to $50,000 this year. It was previously at $30,000 per person.
A source told the outlet that some of the Metropolitan Museum of Art donors would not be attending due to the increased price.
“These people are already donating so much, to then ask for that amount is a lot,” they said. However, that doesn’t mean that this year’s event will be less attended.
“For every person that decides not to go, 20 people will line up behind them and beg to come,” another source pointed out.
The theme for the 2023 Met Gala is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. Already 10 stars have confirmed that they will be attending the event this year.
