Sheffield United bounce back to Premier League after two-year gap
April 27 – Sheffield United are back in the English Premier League after a two-year absence.
The Blades defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-0 on Wednesday to be guaranteed the second automatic promotion spot in the second-tier Championship, joining champions Burnley in the top flight next season.
United have retained second position since November 13, when Burnley went top. They also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup where they were knocked out by Manchester City on Saturday.
