DUNDEE UNITED boss Jim Goodwin is wanted by TWO English League One clubs.
SunSport can reveal the Tannadice gaffer has been sounded out over his availability.
Goodwin, 41, only signed a deal until the end of the season after taking over from sacked Liam Fox last month.
But the hugely impressive job he has done so far has seen him targeted.
United have won their last three Premiership games to climb the table out of the relegation drop zone.
They are still fighting for their lives ahead of the post-split fixtures – neck and neck on points with second-bottom Kilmarnock.
But Goodwin has completely transformed United’s form with the work he’s done NOT going unnoticed south of the border.
It’s understood the clubs who made their approach are eager to open formal talks.
But Goodwin has told them both he’s not interested in any discussions until the end of the season.
He’s made it clear he’s fully focused on United’s relegation battle.
Tannadice chiefs are yet to discuss Goodwin’s future beyond this season.
But Arabs supporters have given him their full backing.
And it seems certain the Tayside club will be desperate to keep hold of the former St Mirren and Aberdeen boss.
Meanwhile, Premiership rival manager Stephen Robinson has confirmed that he is ready to sign a new deal at St Mirren.
The gaffer is targeting a first Euro spot for the Saints since 1987 this season after already achieving the club’s highest top-flight finish for 38 years.
Speaking to SunSport, he said: “There’s been an initial conversation that the club were going to put a contract in front of me.
“But there’s nothing at this moment.
“I’m keen to stay. I am relaxed about it. I know St Mirren will come and put something to me when they are ready.
“Seeing the club grow and getting back to what it wants to be has been fantastic. But I’m far from resting on what we’ve done. I want to kick on and keep improving in every area.
“I’m more than happy to stay. I’ve got an excellent staff who I trust implicitly, and I enjoy going to work every day.
“Beating Celtic is a big highlight for everyone here, but we should have done it more than once.
“The scorelines don’t suggest it, but for long enough in the last two matches I thought we were fantastic, before Celtic were able to bring on world-class players.
“There’s a pride in our victory, and I’d love to do it again before the end of the season. I’d also love to do the same to Rangers. We’ve got Europe to aim for too.”
