3 great things to do this week in Marin
• Get up close and personal with a variety of trucks — such as a firetruck, tow truck, cement truck, ice cream truck and more — at the Touch Trucks event from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Redwood High School’s east parking lot at 395 Doherty Drive in Larkspur. The event, hosted by the Friends of the Larkspur Library to raise funds for the Larkspur Library, will allow kids to meet truck drivers, sit in a cab and participate in crafts and other kids-friendly activities. Admission is $5 in advance on Eventbrite or at the event. For more information about the annual event, go to friendsoflarkspurlibrary.org.
• Enjoy a bilingual story, Mexican music and dance by Cascada de Flores, crafts and a children’s book giveaway at the Día de los Niños celebration at 11 a.m. Saturday at the San Anselmo Library’s lawn at 110 Tunstead Ave. in San Anselmo. The day is designed to celebrate children and foster literacy. Admission is free. For more information, go to townofsananselmo.org.
• Ten of the Bay Area’s best stand-up comics will perform as part of the Novato Comedy Festival at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Novato Theater Company at 5420 Nave Drive in Novato. Admission is $25 for one night and $40 for both. For more information, go to novatotheatercompany.org.
