American Tower Corp has informed the SEC that it recognised an unrealised loss of almost $16m in Q1 2023, on optionally convertible debentures issued by its biggest customer in India, Vodafone Idea (Vi). A sector analyst suggests that ATC's loss was triggered by Vi’s continued financial struggles, and its inability to close its pending external fundraise.
