And during a link to Loreen’s video card before her performance, Norton paid tribute to legendary host Sir Terry Wogan.

The late presenter died in January 2016 following a battle with cancer.

Speaking to viewers at home, Graham said: “I would urge you to raise whatever’s in front of you, a glass, a cup, a mug and toast the memory of the late great Sir Terry Wogan.

“The man who was and always will be the voice of Eurovision.”

Graham paused before adding: “Sir Terry.”

The tribute has left viewers at home in tears as they took to social media to comment.

One said: “Thank you so much for continuing to raise a glass to Sir Terry; it means a lot to so many of us.”

A second said: “God rest your beautiful soul Sir Terry.”

“Cheers Sir Terry, you’re 100% of the reason I loved this as a kid and I miss you every year with all my heart. Thank you for giving us Eurovision our way, nobody does it like you,” said a third.

While a fourth said: “To you Sir Terry Wogan miss you #eurovision isn’t the same without you.”

Mae Muller is hoping to scoop the crown tonight for the UK with her entry I Wrote A Song.

The 25-year-old has received a number of good luck video messages from famous faces ahead of her performance.

However, it seems Mae may need all the luck she can get as the bookies predict a heavy loss for the UK.

Mae’s chances of winning have plummeted in recent hours from 40/1 to 60/1, says Betfair.

Odds are even at 50/1 for her to get ‘nul points’ after her predecessor Sam Ryder finished in second place last year.

The UK has received “nul points” or “nil points” twice.
