THIS is the incredible UK beach said to rival the Mediterranean coast – boasting a gorgeous sandy shore which people swarm to.
The bay has been dubbed a “favourite” by people online who have sung its praises and raved about how clean and classy it is.
Kent‘s Viking Bay has also topped TripAdvisor‘s list of seaside spots to visit with a rating of a whopping 4.5 out of five stars.
One of the nearly 1000 reviewers wrote: “This is hands down my favourite part of the Kent coast.
“The beach is large, sandy and clean. People just seem happy.”
Another sang its praises, writing: “The whole place just oozes class.
“Apart from the very clean beach with golden sands, the place is well organised, and has some interesting features like the bandstand, the gentle cliff walk and even a functioning cliff lift.”
And after a recent visit, KentOnline reporter Sam Honey said: “It felt as though I was in some Mediterranean country on holiday.”
The coastline is picture-perfect and overlooking the beach from The Parade provides a breathtaking sight.
The beach itself boasts golden sands, and is bordered by white cliff faces and colourful huts.
The bay swarms with sun chasers in the summertime, with the sand barely visible beneath a sea of colourful towels.
But when the sun comes out in the off-season the beach is merely dotted with smiling locals making the most of the paradise at their doorstep.
Just a stone’s throw away from the beach sits a heap of cafes, restaurants and pubs, making it an easy choice for a day out.
It’s not unusual for UK beaches to be compared to overseas coastlines.
One bay is regularly compared to the Algarve in Portugal because of its coastline’s epic rock formations and bright blue waters.
There is one that’s often compared to a Caribbean island by those who can’t believe it’s in this country.
And another has been dubbed “paradise” by holidaymakers who likened it to the Caribbean with beautiful blue waters and stretches of sand.
One UK spot was even compared to Ibiza due to its stunning sunsets and beautiful views.
