Donetsk: Polish benefactors provide Avdiivka residents with fire extinguishers

Volunteers from the Polish charity Open Dialogue Foundation in Warsaw have donated 200 fire extinguishers to the Avdiivka front-line community.

As a result of continuous enemy strikes, Avdiivka is gradually turning into ashes. The Russian occupants are bombarding residential areas and civilian infrastructure with “Grad” missiles, heavy artillery and other missile attacks. As a consequence, the security situation in Avdiivka is critical. Local residents and civilians often suffer from fires, which, unfortunately, are commonplace here. In the absence of water, fires cannot be extinguished, inevitably leading to great damage and loss of life.

Having learnt about the extremely problematic situation in Avdiivka, the volunteers of the charitable Open Dialogue Foundation decided to help the local residents. The other day, the benefactors handed over to the Avdiivka city military administration very important, especially in wartime conditions, goods.

Now, two hundred fire extinguishers will be distributed among the residents who still remain in the city: firefighting equipment will be given to those who are most endangered.

“Thank you to the benefactors for this crucial help. Let’s bring victory together! This kind of support actually saves lives!” – noted in Avdiivka GVA. “Together with benefactors from all over the world, we are overcoming obstacles and crises resulting from the Russian invasion. Thanks to our partners and authorities at all levels, the residents of Avdiivka are provided with everything they need to survive this difficult period.”

Volunteers of Polish Charity Foundation assured that cooperation with Avdiivka community on humanitarian assistance will continue in the future.
