WASC AGM 2023

Following the Annual General Meeting  of the Wigan Athletic Official Supporters Club on Saturday 3rd June 2023 at the DW stadium we have the following important announcements:

• 50% of all WASC membership fees and all coach profits in 2023-24 will be donated to and ringfenced for the Wigan Athletic Academy.  The funds will go directly to support the Host Families scheme for our scholars at the Academy. Up to 18 scholars each season are hosted in the homes of Wigan families to allow them to move to Wigan whilst they represent our academy. This vital programme provides a small remuneration for the host families. Your membership and travel with WASC in Season 2023-24 will directly support this programme. Join now for a host of member benefits plus support our outstanding Wigan Athletic Academy. 
• By a unanimous vote, members carried the motion for the Official Wigan Athletic Supporters Club to become a Supporters Trust. We have submitted the paperwork for this  and our sponsors, the Football Supporters Association (FSA) will now process this as soon as possible. This move means that Official Wigan Athletic Supporters Club will have more credence and leverage at a national level and will have the ability to issue shares, should fan ownership be a necessity in the future.
