Indian Railways Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had a pre-devised plan ready to provide maximum assistance after the tragic Balasore rail accident in Odisha on June 2, whereby up to a thousand railway officers and officials were mobilized at the crash site. The diverse teams were set to ensure medical assistance was provided, the track was clear, and that rescue and relief work was given top priority. Staff well-being was also a priority, which was aided by efficiently timed breaks and adequate hydration.
