I’m a savvy mum and found the dream denim jacket in Matalan – it’s perfect for summer and cheap too
A FASHION fan has hailed a bargain Matalan buy that “goes with everything” after snapping it up for summer.
Eilidh Wells, from Glasgow, regularly shares her fashion hauls and outfit ideas on social media (@eilidhwells).
In a recent Instagram post, she modelled a £27 light wash denim jacket for a casual but stylish look.
She said the bargain buy is the “perfect oversized fit” as she fashioned it for a day out with her two children.
She said: “I’m just about to head out to go for a wee picnic with the kids and I thought I would show you my outfit of the day.
“Loving this jacket for casual outfits just now.
“It goes with everything and is such a nice fit when you go up a few sizes.
“I’m a 10 and got a 14 and it’s the perfect oversized fit.”
Describing the popular denim jacket on their website, Matalan bosses said: “There’s no such thing as having too much denim.
“In a charming light wash and fashioned with 100% cotton, the jacket comes in a cool and easy breezy oversized fit.
“Featuring edgy ripped detailing and a smart collar, practical functions include button fastenings and two buttoned chest pockets.”
Mum-of-two Eilidh paired her jacket with a black playsuit, also from Matalan, and a pair of black sandals.
She added: “This is a little playsuit that I got from Matalan.
“I love the shape of it.
“So it’s got these lovely little straps. Then you pull the waist in with this little tie.
“I sized up in this as well. This I got in a 12. I usually buy a 10. So I got this in a 12 because I feel like you can pull it in quite a lot.
“Obsessed with this Matalan plasuit. Comfiest playsuit ever.”
Elsewhere, a midsize mum has hailed a bargain Matalan dress as the perfect summer staple.
Ash Reid joked she was “channeling her inner Kat Slater” in the animal print midi frock but added: “This dress was £8 in the Matalan sale, what a find.
“This is your sign to buy easy dresses for spring and summer this year.”
