I was fed up of getting fruit flies in my kitchen – my clever paper trick gets rid of them in no time
WHILE many of us are pleased to see the sun shining, with the heat comes pesky fruit flies.
And let’s face it, is there anything more annoying than running around your home trying to get rid of them – only for loads more to appear?
Well, thanks to a savvy homeowner named Sara, they could soon be a problem of the past.
In the clip shared to TikTok, she begins: “Here’s a great household hack that maybe you didn’t know.
“Every year when I bring peaches into the house I get an infestation of fruit flies.
“To fix that, I just throw some fruit at the bottom of a jar and create a funnel with a very small hole in the bottom with notebook paper.
“Securely tape that to the jar and in a few hours you’ll have a collection of fruit flies that get stuck in there.”
Sara says she used strawberries but adds that “any fruit will work.”

She captioned the post: “I’ve tried apple cider vinegar and it never works. This works every time.”
It wasn’t long before the post went viral, racking up a whopping 1.4 million view and several comments.
