Primark fans can’t cope with ‘tacky and embarrassing’ tops as they tell store ‘we’re not in 2010 anymore’
SHOPPERS have joked they feel like they’re “back in 2010” after spotting a T-shirt collection in Primark.
The bargain high street store has launched a range of longline T-shirts emblazoned with inspirational messages and slogans.
One reads “live mindfully, focus on the present” while another has the message “get lost in what you love”.
Other ones on the rack tell fashion fans to “take time to grow”
and “a good day starts with a positive attitude”.
Primark bosses said the £7 tops are perfect for everyday wear and joked: “Ultimate bum coverage for yoga – or anything, really.”
But shoppers are not loving the oversized tees, branding them “tacky and embarrassing”.
After stumbling across them in store, one fumed: “Primark can p*** right off with their ‘motivational’ T-shirts/sacks.
“Primark is the ultimate ‘Facebook hun’. what in the f*** is going on in 2023 in Primark?”
A second wrote: “Lord give me strength. Primark has gotten so tacky it’s insane.
“We’re not in 2010 anymore give us some plain tops.”
A third added: “What in the live laugh love is Primark thinking.
“Primark slogan tees are actually embarrassing this year. It’s like they’ve run out of ideas.”
The T-shirt disappointment comes after a fashion blogger revealed how she intended to do a Primark shopping haul but said it was a “travesty” from start to finish.
Popular influencer Perrie Sian, who often raves about the budget retailer, was less than impressed during a recent shopping visit.
She uploaded a light-hearted video saying: “Right guys, you know what time it is? Primark shopping time together.
“But what I will say, PSA [public service announcement] is wow, who the f*** has hurt Primark’s feelings?
