What does John Sherman want to accomplish by owning the Royals?

John Sherman acquired the majority ownership of the Royals in late 2019.

Mr Sherman, with all due respect, why did you buy the Royals? What are you looking to accomplish?

When you do appear in public, it is to advocate for a new baseball stadium. But why? Everyone can see that the Roylas have made NO progress since 2019 - arguably, they are worse in 2023 than even last year, though that is hard to believe. Fan attendance is currently below last year's low numbers. What is a new stadium going to solve?

So, again, is there a Plan for the Royals to return to a playoff contending team? It really would be nice if you would address the baseball public on this topic.
