I’m a savvy mum and here’s two hacks to keep your kids cool at bedtime during the heatwave for less than a tenner
A CLEVER mum-of-two has shared her easy trips to make sure your kids cool down for bedtime.
Casey Major Bunce, from the UK, shared the easy hacks on Instagram.
In the clip, the mum said: “Two products to keep you and your kids cool this summer.”
She first recommended using a hot water bottle and putting it in the freezer.
The savvy mum wrote: “Place a hot water bottle in the freezer
and let it freeze during the day.”
Casey added that this method was perfect as it won’t leak and so there’s no condensation whilst keeping your feet and body cool during the summer nights.
Next, she revealed that a dog cooling mat was the perfect trick to put under your mattress cover to ensure you stay cool in bed.
The cooling gel inside the mat also means you won’t have any water leaking out.
The mum urged that you should always use a separate hot water bottle from the one you use in winter.
She added: “Don’t reuse the same hot water bottle, for hot water during the winter months.
“Instead, have a summer bottle and a winter bottle because freezing a rubber bottle and then filling the same one again with hot water may cause the bottle to expand and contract beyond what it was designed to do so keep them separate for safety.”
