Walt Disney's Los Angeles home, where he created 'Cinderella' and 'Pinocchio,' is on the market as a $40,000-per-month rental. See inside.

It may be the happiest place on earth — or at least in Los Angeles — for a Disney fan.

Animator and film producer Walt Disney's Los Feliz home, which he built for his family in 1932, is on the rental market seeking $40,000 a month, the Wall Street Journal first reported.

The 6,400-square-foot home at 4053 Woking Way has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms.

It also has a screening room where Disney was known to kick up his heels and watch his films and dailies.

The Disney family lived in the house from 1932 to 1950, when they relocated to nearby Holmby Hills.

The property is currently owned by film director and producer Timur Bekmambetov, who bought it in 2011 for $3.7 million, the Journal reported.

Bekmambetov is known for films including "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and the 2016 remake of "Ben-Hur."

Bekmambetov has been proactive about opening the house to the community, working with Disney historian and blogger Todd Regan to organize tours of the property.

Now, the Israel-based director wants to give someone else the opportunity to experience living in the home.

Using old photos for reference, Bekmambetov has furnished the home with antiques similar to what the Disneys lived with.

He did, however, update the kitchen and appliances.

…and a cottage-style playhouse Disney gifted his daughters on Christmas in 1937, following the release of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."

The home is being rented fully furnished, Compass agent Chase Campen told Insider.

The decor includes framed sketches of characters that Campen believes are original and are owned by Bekmambetov. He said there's also stained glass depicting characters in the home.

Campen said the property is renting for a premium, given its history.

There are five homes that have rented for between $20,000 and $64,000 per month in the area over the last six months, Campen said, and there are currently 20 homes in the area on the rental market seeking $20,000 or more.

But for Campen, the premium makes sense. He said it was in this house that Disney's daughters read, and were captivated by, "Winnie the Pooh" and "Mary Poppins," giving Disney the idea to seek out the film rights.

“It’s amazing to think that the idea of bringing those to the big screen was born in that house,” Campen said.

Disney also brought "Cinderella" and "Pinocchio" to the world when living in this house.

He added, "It feels like a museum and living history because of its pedigree."
