Child on bike hospitalized after being hit by commercial vehicle at Concord intersection
CONCORD — A child riding a bike suffered lower leg injuries Tuesday when the driver of a large commercial vehicle hit the bike at a major intersection, police said.
Officers responded to the collision about 2:15 p.m. to the intersection of Treat Boulevard and Cowell Road. Once there, they found the child down. Police said the child was riding the bike in a crosswalk and was hit as the vehicle turned from Treat onto Cowell.
An ambulance took the child to a hospital. Police did not have an update on the child’s condition early Wednesday.
No other information on the collision was available immediately.
