I tested out charity shops – some of it was overpriced, but life peaked when I got a £90 wallet for £1
A BARGAIN-HUNTING shopper has shared her latest visit to a charity shop, where amongst overpriced items she managed to find a posh designer wallet for a quid.
If there’s one person who knows how to thrift it’s second-hand fanatic Caroline – and now, she revealed how to bag a £90 wallet for just £1.
The thrifting pro took to TikTok to prove you don’t need to fork out a fortune to look stylish – or even rock designer gear.
Determined to replenish her wardrobe in time for summer, Caroline headed to E.A.C.H. second-hand store based in Norfolk.
As well as spotting numerous affordable prezzies for Father’s Day, the shopper immediately noticed that their clothing was colour-coordinated.
”I do like it when a shop does that,” she added in the video.
After admiring all the budget-friendly gift ideas, such as an adorable cup and a sports book, the thrifting whizz began rummaging through the clothing rails.
There, Caroline came across a summery blouse by GAP that was selling for a fiver, a stylish blouse with a perfume bottle design for £4.25 and even a top by Tommy Hilfiger.
The latter, which came with a flattering V-neckline, cost a mere £5.50.
However, as Caroline soon came to discover, not everything was affordable – the shopper found a dress that was an eye-watering £35.
”I came across this Boden, a brand new dress – but oof, £35.”
Luckily, amongst the piles of goodies she also found a total steal – a wallet by Emporio Armani that typically sells for a whopping £90.

In the charity shop, meanwhile, it was retailing for £1.25, meaning Caroline was saving almost £89.
Just as amazed the bargain pro was with a pair of pumps by Zara that she spotted going for £6, as well as jewelled footwear for £4.
According to Caroline, these were sold by the high-street retailer Dorothy Perkins, who were originally charging £28.
The shopper ended the successful haul with kids’ toys and some homeware finds, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse bells for a fiver.
Fellow bargain lovers were impressed by the cheap bits, with more than a dozen flocking to comments.
”You do so well getting bargain,” wrote one person.
Meanwhile, someone else shared their favourite second-hand find: ”I bought a Bessie handbag for £3.95 it was worth £45.”
Another was not impressed with the prices, writing: ”It looks good but its not cheap.”
The thrifting whizz Caroline regularly shares her top buys on social media where she posts under the username @caroline.shops.
Her videos have won the sustainable fashionista close to a whopping 25k fans, as well as over 416k overall likes.
