Schedule Adjustments Announced for Utica-Rome Speedway Due to Recent Rainouts
VERNON, NY – Due to an extremely wet weather pattern, Utica-Rome Speedway has announced some schedule changes for upcoming events at the Home of Heroes.
Three consecutive rain-filled Fridays have produced the following changes:
- This Friday, June 23 will feature the F.X. Caprara Thunder on the Thruway Series for 3 Bastards Brewing Modifieds ($4,000 to win), Worthington Industries Crate 602 Sportsman ($1,500 to win) and Next Generation GraphiX Pro Stocks ($1,000 to win). Also in action: Fastline Performance Limited Sportsman, Fonda Fair Four Cylinders and the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Racing Series.
Zielinski Asphalt and Parks Companies present the action this Friday night. Zielinski Asphalt will reward $250 extra to all event winners (the Fonda Fair Four Cylinders will be split $125 to both Single and Dual Cam winners).
Gates open at 5 p.m. Hot Laps begin at 6:45 p.m., with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $18 (Adults), $16 (Seniors ages 65 and up) and Kids 11 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (ages 13 and up), $35 (NASCAR or Utica-Rome Members), $10 Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 Children ages 5 and under.
- Senior Services Inc. Allstar Slingshots and Junior Slingshots have been added to the ‘Richie Evans Remembered’ event on Thursday, July 20 utilizing the inner oval in conjunction with a visit by the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco on the half-mile.
- $5 Friday has been moved to July 28 as part of Ferris Mowers Night
Additional events are being considered as make-up dates for the rained-out programs thus far in 2023. More information will be released on potential dates in the near future.
All Utica-Rome 2023 events will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) as part of the $150 annual subscription.
