Vallejo police find woman with ‘signs of trauma’ dead in home
Vallejo Police detectives were called in after officers found a woman dead Friday night in what the department said is the city’s 11th homicide of the year.
Officers responded to a report of a woman not breathing in a home in the 6100 block of Wild Dune Court just after 10:30 p.m. Medical personnel declared the woman dead at the scene, in a subdivision near the Blue Rock Springs Golf Club, east of I-80.
“There were signs of trauma,” Vallejo Police Sgt. Rashad Hollis said Saturday afternoon.
Whether the woman lived in the home was under investigation, Hollis said.
It was too early to tell whether there was more than one perpetrator involved in the woman’s death, Hollis said, adding that police had no suspects.
