As I read U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur’s comments in The Blade article on June 27, 2023, ‘Kaptur calls out First Energy’s past’, I was sad that Ms. Kaptur did not point out the success that the plant has had in the past after the turnaround from the 1985 event that was mentioned in the article. I thought it would be fair and nice to point out some very positive points about this plant and the dedicated professionals that have operated it and are currently operating it. I believe it is always necessary to look at both sides of an issue.
