Buttigieg Hilariously Claps Back At DeSantis's Disturbing Video
The 'DeSantis War Room' unleashed a disturbing video in which the Florida Governor is compared to a fictional serial killer, the Greek warrior Achilles, and a floating image of the "GigaChad," an over-the-top digitally altered version of a Russian fitness model. And all of this plays out in the video with DeSantis boasting about headlines that describe his anti-LGBTQ policies as "extreme," "draconian," "totalitarianism in disguise," and "unwarranted and un-American."
Sigh. Welcome to the GOP, where the more psychotic you are, the more chance you have to win office.
During an interview on CNN's "State of the Union," Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is asked about DeSantis' odd video.
"I'm going to leave aside the strangeness of trying to prove your manhood by putting up a video that splices images of you in between oiled-up, shirtless bodybuilders and just get to the bigger issue that is on my mind whenever I see this stuff in the policy space, which is, again, who are you trying to help?" Buttigieg said.
"Who are you trying to make better off?" he continued. "And what public policy problems do you get up in the morning thinking about how to solve?
We're focused as an administration on how to get things done to make people better off."
