The two-week championships will see punters shell out £11.70 for a Pimm’s as they hope to enjoy some sunshine and spectate.

And while Brits experienced a downpour last week – as much of the country were struck by thunderstorms – today should hopefully stay clear in the capital.

Monday morning will start off quite cloudy and rainy for some with scattered sunny spells creeping in, according to the weather service.

The Met Office said: “Cloudy with rain at times in the far north.

“Otherwise sunny spells and showers for most, but a more persistent spell of rain will move eastwards across Wales and northern and central England.

“Breezy, especially in the southwest.”

London, Ipswich, Canterbury, Rochester, and parts of Essex will see highs of 19C today.

Meanwhile, Burnley, Preston and parts of Scotland will see the lowest temperatures in the country at 11C.

Tuesday and Wednesday are both looking to start the same with rain being “occasionally heavy”.

However, it is expected to clear throughout on both days.

The grey weather isn’t forecast to stick around for much longer as the weather service predict high 20s towards the end of the week.

Conditions will start to become drier on Thursday before the warm weather arrives.

And as we kick off July, the Met Office said: “There are signs of something warmer by the end of the week, especially in the southeast.”

Conditions are predicted to hit 25C by Friday before reaching a hot 28C by Saturday.

Much of the south coast are predicted to see highs of 24C over the weekend.

Further north, Leeds and Sheffield will experience 23C for the second weekend of the month.

It comes shortly after parts basked in highs of 32C – making it hotter than Ibiza.
