Fourth of July thunderstorms for CT? It’s possible, and today too
High pressure will bring a mixture of clouds and sunshine on Monday with high temperatures in the 80s and dew points in the mid-60s to the lower 70s.
A frontal system to the north and west of the state will cause an unstable atmosphere this afternoon and evening that will likely result in scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong too severe with damaging winds.
The Fourth of July will also have a mixture of clouds and some sunshine, but the threat for shower and thunderstorm activity will be throughout the day.
