Rapids sign D Daniel Chacon to 2-year deal
The Colorado Rapids signed Costa Rican defender Daniel Chacon to a two-year deal.
The deal announced Monday runs through the 2025 MLS season and includes a club option for 2026.
The Rapids then loaned Chacon, 22, to Costa Rica's Liga Deportiva Alajuelense for the remainder of the 2023 season.
Chacon is the first Rapids 2 player to sign a first-team deal with Colorado since the MLS NEXT Pro side's inception in 2022.
