Returning the war medal - update (of sorts)
So, after a lot of trawling, I managed to locate some family records of Mr Samuel George Towle on Ancestry. Turns out he had one daughter who married an Irishman and both moved to Los Angeles. The two of them also had one daughter (deceased) her name being Irene Marie O'Hara (1946 - 2001). Her husband Ralph G Perkins, is, by all accounts I can find, still alive and currently residing in Texas (I believe he's 77 years old). Now here's the problem. I cannot find out if they had any children because if they did, they/he/she would be the natural heir to the medal. Without paying for a more expensive subscription on Ancestry, I can't get access to foreign records so I've hit a bit of a roadblock here. Other than the obvious, would anyone know of a potential way round this? I did some digging on t'internet and I think I've located two Ralph Perkins' living in Texas (of the right age) but all I have is a home address. Not sure how reliable that will prove though.
Coincidentally, Mr Towle had two brothers but from what I've researched, it looks like both were married but neither of them had any children.
