FOR sex pest MP Chris Pincher to cop a lighter punishment from parliament than Boris Johnson did is both staggeringly absurd and highly revealing.
It proves beyond doubt that the three-month suspension for the former PM was vindictive and wildly excessive.
A sanction handed down by a committee with one senior member now being probed by cops over alleged lockdown breaches he never mentioned.
For all Boris’s slapdash behaviour in No10, he was treated like a serial killer and stitched up by a biased, obnoxiously sanctimonious Labour-led panel bent on revenge for Brexit.
Pincher deserves his eight-week suspension.
He is a disgrace to Parliament.
So is Harriet Harman’s committee.

FUNNY, isn’t it, how Just Stop Oil pick on polite middle-class events to disrupt?
Wimbledon. Cricket at Lord’s. Even opera at Glyndebourne.
They know they can run around there dementedly scattering rubbish and still end the day with both legs intact.
We doubt they will chance it at Millwall during the football season.
But if police and security guards really can’t deter these sociopathic pests, all power to the public if they have a go.
Cricket’s Jonny Bairstow set a magnificent example, tackling one moron and removing him.
Tory Policing Minister Chris Philp says we should all follow suit.
No one condones assault.
But punters pay a fortune for these prestige events.
Within the law, they have every right to manhandle idiots bent on wrecking them.
Bad company
TALKING of the oil-stopping apocalypse fantasists, we are mystified by Keir Starmer’s latest condemnation of them.
He’s right to denounce their conceit in imagining that they alone care about cutting emissions.
He may disapprove of their tactics too.
But Starmer is a fellow traveller in every other respect.
He has already surrendered to their main “demand”, to let our North Sea oil dwindle and die despite the economic harm and risk to our energy security.
And Labour and the climate thickos are bankrolled by the very same tycoon.
If Starmer really felt strongly about Just Stop Oil’s despicable arrogance and campaign of sabotage he would refuse to deal with the man funding it.
And hand Dale Vince his millions back.

Boffins reckon you can eat red meat every day.
True, you also need heaps of fruit, veg, fish, beans and grains to balance it.
