The Indian Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to procure two Dornier Aircraft for the Indian Coast Guard at a cost of Rs 458 crore. HAL will manufacture it indigenously at their Kanpur facility, fitted with advanced equipment including glass cockpit, maritime patrol radar, and more. The addition will strengthen ICG's aerial surveillance capabilities in maritime areas.
