Jony Ive, Apple's former design chief, joined forces with Linn to create a $60,000-plus turntable.
The Sondek LP12-50 turntable marks the 50th anniversary of Linn's Sondek LP12.
Only 250 will be available between August and March 2024, according to Linn.
Jony Ive's design firm LoveFrom collaborated with Linn to redesign the brand's "most iconic product in hi-fi history," per its website.Ive set up LoveFrom after stepping down as Apple's chief design officer in 2019.

While Ive's creative team focused more on the aesthetic of the turntable, Linn made sound improvements to produce what it says is the "best vinyl playback performance" it's ever achieved.According to Tiefenbrun, Ive offered LoveFrom's design services if Linn needed help on a project during a 2022 meeting.
