LET’S face it, keeping up with the dusting and cleaning can feel like quite the chore.
And if you think you’ve finally got your cleaning regime down, then think again…because according to one cleaning and organising fanatic, there are five areas people always forget to give a good old scrub.
So, are you guilty of neglecting them?
In a new video shared to TikTok, Caroline, aka neat.caroline, who lives in New York, begins: “Here are five places at home you’re probably forgetting to clean.”
And while you may turn them on and off first thing in the morning and last thing at night, she points out that people often forget to clean their light switches.
“Clean around switch with all-purpose cleaner,” the cleaning whizz advises.
And despite the age-old saying of ‘out of sight, out of mind,’ Caroline notes that’s no excuse to forget to clean above your doors.
“Use a duster,” she recommends.

The cleaning guru also urges people not to get to tackle the underneath of their appliances.
“Vacuum away crumbs with the tiny nozzle,” she recommends.
Another common area in the home that’s normally left untouched are shower heads, according to Caroline.
To get these gleaming like new, she recommends spraying them with diluted vinegar.
And last but not least, the cleaning fan reminds people to tackle underneath their rugs using a dust pan and brush.
Caroline concludes: “Clean everything at least once a month.”
The video has since gone viral, racking up a whopping 653k views and several comments from social media users online.
“I’m choosing to forget….” quipped one.
A second penned: “Got them all plus lamp shade and bulbs.”
A third wrote: “Remote control and phones too I do this all weekly!”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Nope I do all the above once a week . I’m a clean freak.”
And a further added: “I mean I’m not ‘forgetting.’ Just putting it off forever.”
