How often is Amazon Prime Day – will there be more deals in 2023?
Amazon Prime Day is here and shoppers are eagerly searching through the massive savings, with Apple airpods and Ninja air fryers among the many bargains on offer.
The firm’s 48-hour flash sale for Amazon Prime members began at 00.01am this morning (July 11) and will continue until 11.59pm on Wednesday, July 12.
It coincides with a strike by some Amazon workers who are calling for a pay rise, as the online giant is set to rake in ‘up to £2bn in sales’ during the week, though the retailer insists the walkout is not expected to directly affect Prime Day deliveries.
So if you’re after a new smartphone, the latest tech, a stylish outfit, kitchen appliance, beauty products or much more, is Amazon Prime Day the only chance to grab massive savings and how often does it happen?

How often is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is effectively two full days – Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12, 2023 – and only happens once a year.
You do need to be a Prime member to take advantage of it, or to have signed up for a free trial before the event.
Last year’s Prime Day was the biggest in Amazon’s history, wth members buying more than 300 million items worldwide and saving around $1.7 billion.
It was held in 20 countries.
Will there be more deals?
While Prime Day only happens once a year, there will be more savings to snap up later in 2023 – watch out for Amazon’s Black Friday offers.
Black Friday falls on the last Friday in November and is the perfect time to grab some Christmas presents.
So, in 2023, that’s Friday, November 24 – and it’s worth checking the site for savings in the run-up to that date, too.
