My favorite swimsuit hack turns bikini bottoms into a top – it can fit lots more boobage than you think
A SURFER has shared how she turned unwanted swimsuits from trash to treasure.
She said the viral hack is the easiest way to transform old side-tie bikini bottoms.
In a recent TikTok video, Emily Zeck (@emilyzeck) used one of her own pieces to show off the final result.
“I don’t like tie-side swimsuits. They’re not flattering on me. They’re not comfortable, but I do feel bad throwing them away,” she said.
Holding up a yellow bikini bottom, she demonstrated what she does instead.
“All you’re going to do is untie them, and then tie a knot in the middle of the crotch,” she said.
Zeck then separated the front and back parts of the bikini bottom, holding up the strings with the crotch area in the middle.
After she tied the crotch portion into a knot, the surfer tied it onto her body, showing its successful transformation into a swim top.
Reveling in the quick process and stylish results, she added: “And that’s literally it. Look at how cute this is.”
In the comments, people were also impressed by the hack’s clever and easy utility.

Zeck also reassured someone who thought the hack could only work for people with small chests.
She responded: “If you use a full coverage bikini bottom, you’ll be fine! Lots more boobage can fit in these bottoms.”
Some commenters were also concerned about the overall fit, since the front and back of bikini bottoms typically differ in size.
“The problem is when the front and back aren’t the same size, so one side is way bigger than the other,” wrote a viewer.
Zeck agreed and noted that it isn’t a one size fits all solution: “Depends on the suit but yeah, doesn’t work for all of them!”
