Armed man barricaded inside Caesars Palace hotel room in Las Vegas
An armed man is reportedly holed in a hotel room in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated that it received a call of a domestic disturbance at a hotel room on the 3500 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard around 9.15am on Tuesday.
Upon attempting to make contact with people inside the room, a man refused to open the door and told cops he was armed.
Police did not name the hotel, but KSNV observed emergency responders staging by the entrance into Caesars Palace.
SWAT team members and crisis negotiators were sent to the scene.
‘We are actively trying to resolve this situation,’ the police department tweeted.
Police asked the public to avoid the area and watch out for ‘numerous emergency vehicles’.
Caesars Entertainment stated: ‘We are aware of the security incident at Caesars Palace. Our team is cooperating fully with law enforcement officers on scene who are handling the investigation.’
Sources told FOX 5 that the hotel pool was evacuated.
