My mom’s an ex-hotel maid and taught me a trick for bathrooms – I now use it in my own cleaning company
A CLEANING pro has shared her smart trick for elevating the look and feel of any bathroom.
In a video shared on TikTok, the influencer said she learned the simple insider hack from her mom, who used to clean hotels.
The TikToker, known as Daily Cleaning Tips (@pdx_cleaning) on the social media platform, has more than 84,000 followers.
On her page, she shared cleaning hacks and tutorials to a keen audience.
Her recent video was captioned: “If your toilet paper is on display, here’s an easy and quick way to give it a spa-like look.”
It opened with a shot of an ordinary-looking basket of stacked rolls of toilet paper.
Overlaid text read: “My mom used to clean hotels and taught me a few little tricks to make the toilet paper look nice.”
Viewers watched as the influencer’s hands removed a few sheets of the paper and put them to the side.
The woman stacked the loose pieces on top of each other, making a multi-pointed star shape.
“Now that I own a cleaning company, I like to incorporate these little details for my clients,” she added.
The woman’s hand then took the paper stack and laid it atop the roll of toilet paper, covering the open tube end.
The text on screen continued: “Some people love it, some don’t really care, but I like to leave any space looking better than it was before.”
The woman then poked her index finger over the paper and down into the hole.
The loose leaves of toilet paper bunched together, resembling a flower sprouting from the roll of paper.
The video ends with a shot of the now-transformed basket of toilet paper.
TikTokers were excited by the idea, with commenters stating they felt the hack added a level of luxury to the bathroom.
One person wrote: “This is so cute! My mom also cleaned hotels and she taught me how to do this when I was a little girl.”
Another said: “Love this!” while a third person stated: “It makes it look more luxury.”
